Season Opener

April 3rd 7pm - 11pm at Steam Whistle Brewing

Another Season Opener is upon us. On April 3rd we will be holding the Season Opener at the Steam Whistle Brewery. There are many exciting events happening at this show. There will be a live performance from The Beverleys!

We will also be raffling off a Garrison Creek Bat Co bat signed by the Toronto Blue Jays! All proceeds will be going to the Jays Care Foundation! Win Win! We could not be more excited about this. Come out, enter to win, and help us support a great cause!

T-Shirt Contest

A blanket on the ground, some good friends and your favourite park, sounds pretty good right? While we still have to wait a little longer for summer to get here, that doesn’t mean we can’t think back on the great time we have had in some of Toronto’s great parks! And you know what? We want to hear about it. Let us know which of Toronto’s parks are your favourite and why! Do this, and at the end of the week, we will pick 3 of our favourites, and those winners will receive a GCBC T-shirt!

The fall classic was greater than we could have even expected. What an amazing turn out. We want to thank everyone that came out to the show, and a huge thanks to the amazing artists that helped us pull it together. Here are a few highlights from the event!

If you happened to miss it, and are reading this in time, we will be extending the show for a few more days, albeit a scaled down version, at the Muttonhead popup shop! From Nov 2 – Nov 11, some of the Fall Classic bats will be on display and sale! We will also be selling prints from Dave Murray and Erin McPhee, as well as T-shirts!

Fall Classic

With the baseball season coming to a close our own Fall Classic is on the horizon. On October 26th we will be hosting another art show, after the success of our Season Opener show/launch earlier this year, we could not be more excited!

Derby for Distance

We have some amazing things coming up in the next few months!

Have you ever wanted to win a Garrison Creek Bat Co. Bat, maybe a Christie Pits? Now’s your chance! We’ll be participating in the Derby for Distance contest, benefiting the Toronto Playgrounds Baseball League, taking place this Saturday, September 22nd at the Dominico Field (Diamond 1) at Christie Pits park.

Try your luck against the pitching machine at 35, 50, 65 and 80 M.P.H.! “Top-Batter” will receive a Christie Pits Garrison Creek Bat Co Bat. Two additional bats will also be available for auction and raffle, along with some other great prizes.

Be sure to come out and support the Toronto Playgrounds Baseball League- we look forward to seeing you there.

After much waiting, Garrison Creek Bat Company is proud to present "Christie Pits" The second limited run of 10 hand made bats.

Our second model, "Christie Pits", takes more than just it's name from a historic piece of Toronto. The colour scheme is inspired by The Lizzies, a team that has been playing in the park for over 100 years!

Like the Bellwoods (our previous model), the Christie Pits bat is made of solid hard maple, which is inspected for quality by C.R. Fieldhouse. After turning, the bat is finished in the distinct colours of the Lizzies and left to cure before shipping.

The Journey

Not too long ago, we had the chance to hit a few balls and talk with the guys from Moosehead, as they traveled across Canada on the Moosehead Journey. We just wanted to thank them again; it was a great experience and we are honoured that they took the time to stop by.

Exciting times ahead!

We have been working away and have a few things on the go! One of the most exciting things was the Moosehead Journey stopping by the workshop to talk with us and have a few beers!

Also look forward to some information on our next bat, the Christie Pits!

It is finally here! The Garrison Creek Season Opener!!

The Show starts at 7pm on April 26th, and we would really love for you to stop by, say Hello, and look at some of the amazing bats that the artists have produced!

On April 26th, 2012 GCBC is proud to present Season Opener at AWOL Gallery (76 Ossington Ave, Toronto). This is the official launch party for what promises to be a strong season. We’ve got great stats: ten days, 17 Toronto-loving artists, and three guys who want to bring quality bats to baseball and art lovers. GCBC is proud to present brand-new work from:
